Default Extended Warranty Purchase....

With the trucks of today, would you or would you not purchase the extended warranty for your new 2007 ram 1500? I need to decide that very question within the next couple of weeks. I have purchased them in the past and what broke never seemed to be covered. Your thoughts will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Red

Think of it like insurance. You'll be happy you have it when you really need it. Plus if you don't buy it, you WILL need it.

I didn't get it when I bought by 06 last year. Though I don't need it yet because I only have a little over 11000 miles on it, I wish I had bought it, because knowing my luck, everything on it will break as soon as I hit 36000. So yes I would get it if I had it to do over again!

I bought it, and it's good insurance. It cost me an additional $1200.00 dollars, and it covered the vehicle for 7years or 75,000 miles. Whichever came first.
How much are they charging you for it? and how long is it good for?

Does anyone know if you can RENEW this extended warranty once the original one expires?

yeah I was wondering if I could just go and buy the extended warranty since I only have a 3/36. Get the warranty, I lost my transmission at justunder 6,000 miles so as she get's older she will be more prone to crapping out.

I work for a car dealership as a salesman. WORD TO THE WISE = DO NOT BUY FROM THE DEALERSHIP!!! See dealerships have a purchase power and a cost. First the Cost which is the price they pay(directly from the w.c.) and a purchase power which is the price you purchase it for... so you will save moneyby going around the dealership andpaying direct(COST) over the phone. ALSOanyone can still purchase a warrenty as long as you are within the Bumper to Bumper Warrenty still....

Geico Insurance offers a mechanical breakdown policy with a deductible of $250.00. The catch is you have to have vehicle insurance with them. I have the coverage on my wifes 05 Magnum and have not needed it yet. Weigh out all of your options before donating your money.
