I used to work in a body shop and there is an easy way. If you have a die grinder you can go to a locla car store and buy a wheel to put on the die grinder. It acts as a big eraser and takes it off pretty quick.

Couple words of caution though:

If your truck is red it may change the color a little by adding a yellow tint to it.

Also, You have to know how fast to move the wheel it doesnt take much pressure but if the paint gets to hot it will burn it leaving without the clear coat.

Wheel should pnly be used on factory paint, not repainted surfaces as a body shop does not have the ability to bake the paint at temps like the factory.

Otherwise a heat gun should work pretty good, If you get the paint to hot though you can make it bubble. Anyway you do it be careful or you stand the chance of ruining the paint even with chemicals.

im hoping when i start tommorrow fresh, i'll have better luck

the hemi and slt badges are gone along with the foam. goo-gone automotive polish should remove the edges around it.

really though the "RAM 1500" badges are difficult, like its a different kind of foam.

The foam is thick - im gonna attack it tommorro morning again, but know im gonna have to use the plastic putty knife and the hair dryer again.

ill be sure to post pics afterwards

thx - and again, if there is some miracle stuff that you used.

please let me know.

I used Turtle Wax Bug & Tar Remover. Took off all the adhesive without effecting the finish. Good Luck!

I used GooGone and a credit card.
Scrape off foam crap

Spray on GooGone

Rub in one direction with rag

Scrape excess off

Repeat as needed.
Once you have only a thin film remaining, you can "polish" it off with GooGone

And there you are!

Im went through the same thing, one side came out perfect with no scatches using bug and tar remover along with goo gone. When i moved to the other side, my dumba$$ used a screw driver with tape over the end of it to get behind the emblems, well guess what, the tape came off and i scratched the hell out of the truck where the mega cab sign was and a little srcatcgh on the 1500. Well now im pissed, my brand new truck has scratches, any1 have any idea how much a body shop would charge to repair? and would they have to paint the entire panel or door??? i hope not,,,its really not a big deal but thats the way i am, so gotta fix it. minus the scratches it looks much better
