AirAid Dodge Ram Poweraid Spacer
I've only heard bad things about these...of course that was after i spent 80 bucks on one. I put it on and to tell the truth...i didnt notice much of a differnce at all. Instead i put a CAI on it and that made a way better differnce, i dont know how the combo of the two would do together cause i cant fit them both on at the same time, not enough room above the throttle body
haha
haha
It is a waste of money. It won't give you more air or increase the velocity of the incoming air (it doesn't increase the flow capacity of the intake and itain't no venturi).
Haven't finished my research on the Hemi yet but usually the easiest and cheapest gains are exhaust and intake. However, from what I'm seeing (with actual imperical data) the CAIs aren't making huge differences and neither are exhausts (unless you go with header and remove the convertors). Even then, the improvements seem to be simply shifting the TQ and HP curves up with little additions.
However, the CAI and exhaust make it soudn cool

TB spacers do nothing for our motors. Get a true flow intake (by far the best) some headers and a good flowing exhaust and you will tell a HUGE difference. The stock exhaust and intake are pretty good though but the few together make a difference.
i bought one a long time ago and lost 2mpg didn't show any increase in power but if you hold up your throttle body and put the spacer behind it and you can clearly see how much it will restrict airflow mine was nearly a 1/4in smaller than my throttle body...tossed it in the trash and and got my 2mpg back....
i wasted 130 on a helix spacerthat i was told was the best. it was a total waste of money. dont do it. made it sound a little throatier but i felt it suffered performance wise. my hemi boged down between 2-3 thousand rpm or so and had an intense vibration that made me very uncomfortable.

Do you guys thing it would help to grind the "Helix" out of the spacer so that the inside is smoothe and more like a venturi?
I seen HorsePower TV test a throttle body spacer on a Ram Diesel and it gained 9 hp and 13 tq AT THE WHEELS.
Maybe the diesels respond better to spaces than gassers. Or maybe it was a better manufactured unit. I dont know if it had the "Helix" or not, they didn't say. But there have been gains with the spacers. Guess you have to watch which one you get maybe.

if you absolutely must have a spacer i will sell you my helix for 50 bucks. that way youll only be out 50 when you see that itsucks majorly. im going to list it on ebay shortly and wil start biding at 49.99. will not be re selling the air intake tube though. so basicly ill be selling the equipment for use with a full air intake system. meaning you have removed your air expander. just payed around 130 plus 3 or 4 bucks for shiping for the thing not to long ago. used for 2 days and removed it.
