Default factory radio question

when i was looking for my new truck i test drove one that displayed the artist and song name right on the radio. I checked and it was on a radio station. The truck i bought doesnt do this. Is there a special radio that has this information that i can get?

What did you test drive, and what did you end up buying? Some radio stations send out a certain signal along with their regular broadcast, usually tells you the station, the band and the name of the song.

The feature that you are reffering to is RDS. What Stereo do you have(RBK, etc)? There should be small lettering on the face of the Stereo that say this. I looked on www.moparsupercenter.com and found the RBQ which is a 6-Disc and has the RDS feature. The RBQ is the only one that I found on that site that said it had RDS, unless you want to step up to a Navigation Deck.Hope this helps.

Another good option would be the RB4 Navigation Deck, it has RDS as well. Here is a link to one on ebay for $300 Shipped http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chrys...spagenameZWDVW.
The RBQ will probably cost you over $500, so the RB4 is a great option and a step up as well.
