Default Driveline vibration revisited

Hello DF, I'm sorry I've been away so long! 'Been waiting on DC and the 2nd evaluation to be set up!
As a follow up to my vibration issue, they, (you know who), haven't fixed it yet. I had a 2nd evaluation on 2-28-07 from a diff dealer.
He, the svc mgr, after only driving the truck and campared it to another, stated "hecould notdo anything for this vehicle." He had tlked to the factory rep that basically signed off before and they concluded that nothing can be done. "They concider it normal." It isn't, (I'm certain), because it occurs atthe range of speeds, (just before35 MPH), goes away and reoccrus at a higher speeds, (50 - 70 MPH). Even upon decelaration.
Angered, I called DC in Auburn Hill, Il and spoke with a person.
She consulted a suprv. and now I have a date with the first dlr. to work the frt. whl. bearing recall. They, DC, seem to think and hope the problem is there. In any event, this recall work is the next thing in line for my request to eliminate this vibration by a process of elimination, (that means all wheel bearings and the differential bearing and gears),until the cause is found and repaired. To my knowlege, none of these have been checked. This will include a driveshaft that is within runout tolerance. The current one, (which is the 3rdone), isn't, (at my measurement of 47 thousandths)!
We'll see won't we?
The call to DC causedthe dlrs.to work the recall, because when I mentioned it to the 2nd evaluation svc. mgr. he stated, "it was not published yet and he could not perform it." Bull! I explained to him that this is the next step to solving this vibration.
Needless to sayyou know where he is on my list!
Wish for all of us, that are having this type of vibration, God's Favor and Luck!
Sostay tuned!
P.S. 'sorry for the lonnnng post, but this is imporant, for all of us!

Well the update!
The recall for the frt whl brgs was performed by the dealer.
The bearings and hubs were replaced.
I couldn't find out whether were damaged or not.but!
No differnce in the vibration, Its still present as before.
Anothe letter has been sent to DC.....waited for a reply.
As a response to an email I sent to DC through their Dodge website,
"they have no technical information/answers to my technical questions."
I was/am,(again), referred to the dealership. LOL!
Some questions are: What is Dodge's tolerance for driveshaft runout?
If the torque converter is causing this "Drone"-vibration, in lockup.
Is it an indication that it, (the torque converter), is defective?
If other trucks don't have this vibration.
Is it NORMAL for this truck to have it?
If other trucks HAVE this vibration.
Is it NORMAL for all trucks?
If Not fix it! The vibration should not be there at all in any of the trucks!

Bye for now!

I do believe I have the same problem. I was at the dealer on Wednesday to have this looked at. Service Mgr told me it was MDS. I think its crap. My problem is 50 mph and above intermittent noise/vibration. It almost feels / sounds like a bad tire. I also have a transmission whine at 45mph around 1400rpm. They said that is normal. I looked at him like he was stupid got my keys and walked out.I will probably be driving a new one next week to see if it is "normal". By the way the truck is 07 QC with Hemi 1450 miles. Very disappointed DCJ customer.

Hi guys. I have been experiencing exactly the same problem of drone/vibrations on my 06 Hemi since i bought it 6 months ago. Brought it 5 times to the dealer, they did whatever they could to fix the problem by balancing, changing, rebalancing the tires with no result. Then I did a drive test with the service manager who told me it was normal, allHemisdid that..... no way!!!!
After insisting, calling many times the repair service manager, he finally ended telling me that itwas an enginering problem and there was nothing he could do about it. I do believe it is an enginering problem because after I did the first oil change with mobil one full synthetic oil, the vibrations/drone especially between 50 and 70 mph (also upon deceleration), almost disappeared (90%). I thought the problem was solved but it was not the case..... the same vibrations came back litttle by little after a few hundred miles.
About the recall, that is not the solution for sure.... I had the bearings changed and the problem subsists. I just think we will all have sooner or later to file warranty claims to have the trucks replaced.
