Default Clunk noise when moving in and out of park/reverse

I have just over 500km on the truck so far and I have noticed that every now and again when I go from park to Reverse or Reverse to park there is a clunk as if the shifter is not engaging the gear exactly right every time. Is that something that is normal during a breakin period or should I take it in to the dealer to get them to look at it.

it is a 07' Dakota 4.7L

That sounds like a worn U-joint, but i would doubt it with such a new truck...im not sure what else it could be, but good luck on findin out

I have the same exact problem with my 07 ram. I was concerned about the noise and went to the dealership and listened to one that just arrived on the lot and guess what, it had the exact same sound..... I mean the exact same, If you are to worried about it go and listen to one at the lot and see if it does it.

I agree that it sounds like a U-joint.
