There is the chance that they may add it in the future to replace the srt 10 line. I have also heard talk of that being one of the new upgrades planned for the 2009 ram update.
I wouldn't imagine dodge would want to give up the power title to toyota for too long.

Something tells me if they do put it in there, it's going to be retuned. I don't see it staying as is unless they use it for an SRT replacement. As is, the 6.1 really isn't a truck engine. Hell, the way the car 5.7's are, they're actually better truck engines than the truck versions are (STILL can't figure out why they put the engines with more torque in the cars rather than the trucks, but the trucks have more hp...)

It's because those cars were built with a better transmission for their application than we have. Those trannys can't tow but can handle more power than ours. Ours on the other hand will shred to peices with much more than stock power (I know I lost a transmission at 4,000) So we will need a more efficient tranny before getting anymore torque or real power.

You'd figure something designed for TOWING would have a nice strong tranny....
