I just bought my 07 and put on a Flowmaster 40. You can definitely here the change in sound when the MDS kicks in. You can either get used to it, or drive in tow/haul or OD off. I have been getting used to it. Just to get that little bit of extra mpg. I only have about 700 miles on it, I'm getting about 11.9mpg right now. Hope it gets better as it breaks in.

Ive got just a bit over 1300 on mine and I have seen 13.2 MPG and thats the highest, no mods other than exhaust 20x10's with factory tires.. I really hope it gets better....
and 20BigHorn06 I wont go as far as to say you screwed up, you might not have a problem with your truck sounding like a big 4cyl with exhaust on it, but I can tell ya as soon as I find someone thats swapping out their stock exhaust im taking it.

Ok, I'll take your guys' word for it that exhaust shouldn't be put on the new HEMI's. So I won't do it then. The dealer told me that you cannot notice the difference when the MDS kicks in. I'll double check with them on Monday when I get my LoJack installed and see what they say.

as most know you can drive around with OD off or in tow/haul mode to avoid the kick in and out but if you stay in overdrive you will hear it, If thats something you can deal with then you can put the exhaust on it,me personally I dont like having to do that. But hey different strokes for different folks

I would say yes but Im not looking to pay for it , Im waiting for one to come thru the local muffler shop, and they will put it on for me for free, Im just playing the waiting game now, I priced one at the dealer and it was gonna cost 250 bucks just for the muffler.

The dealer where I got mine actually changed the exhaust on one of the Rams and I got in it to see what or if I can hear anything. They put a SI/DO Flowmaster 40 and left the front reso on. I have to say, it didn't sound bad at all inside the cab. I actually couldn't really hear the MDS. If I do change the exhaust, this is probably the same setup I will do. On my Charger, I took off both resos, and that really sucked! I am thinking by keeping the front reso on, this will help with cabin drone when MDS kicks in.

I have an '07 QC Hemi 1500 and was seeing about 14.5 before I added my ebay CAI with a K&N filter, and after I see an average of 15.5 or so. On the highway, I see about 17 mpg driving just about 70. At about 80-90 on the hwy, it drops to about 15.8.
That was with my 700 pound Fatboy in the back. Haven't made any highway trips without it, so I dont know if it had anything to do with mileage......
