well its not mine. my dad called andtold me he was working late today and wouldnt be home for a couple of hours. so around 10 he finally gets home, right behind my mom. i go out to help my mom unload the van, and just happen to glance up at my dads truck and notice the grille is different. so i do a double take and look back, and whaddaya know, he has an 07 front end on his truck! i didnt notice the new truck at first because its the same color as his old one, but its nice! he wont let me or anyone else drive it right now, but hell probably let me take it for a spin.

its an 07 ram 1500 flame red, slt, qc, 4x4, 5.7 hemi. power everything, except power seats which he didnt want. lonestar package with 20 inch rims, 3.92 LSD, premium cloth package, extended warranty, in-dash 4x4 controls, and a year of sirius satellite radio. i dont know if he got an upgraded stereo system in there or just the basic one, but i turned it up a bit and it sounds real nice. gets plenty loud, and sound quality is good. the interior is kinda like a light gray/kaki mix with aluminum radio surround and aluminum inserts on the door panels. its really quiet, even for stock exhuast. i remember getting my truck and it was much louder at idle, even before the flowmasters. im dyin to drive it but it might be a few days or a week before i get to. he trusts me and all but hes always paranoid about new vehicles.

 

Get behind the wheel of that hemi and you might end up wanting to get one yourself. I was surprised at the difference when I test drove the two.

 

yeah he just let me drive it around the neighborhood. he would have let me get it out on the highway but it was late and he wanted to go to bed. pedals felt nice, it accelerated alot easier than what im used to (4.7 ) and rode very smooth. it has 64 miles on it and gas mileage is at 11.9 but it was just reset, and will get better as the tank gets lower, and the engine gets broken in.

im definantly savin my money now...

 

Yeah the gas mileage will definitely improve. My gas mileage went up 4-5 mpg from when it had 100 miles to the 6k it has now.

 

yeah, i just tanked my truck for the first time today. i had an avg. or 11.8 mpg on the 1st tank. hopefully the second is better. by the looks of the est. drive distance, i am gonna get better mileage.

 

My first tank gave me 15.2 mpg. I’m on the second tank now and it is at 16.3. I hope it keeps getting better! No highway yet, it’s been strictly around town. Red
