never drive without o/d on? what about towing still use the tow/haul right?
no no. When going full throttle, turn over drive off, same with towing. When driving normally keep overdrive turned on.

I just double-checked with my dealer too, and the service manager told me that I can do whatever I want to the truck, as long as it doesn't cause damage to anything else. For instance, if I put a lift kit on, and something busts in my suspension due to that lift kit being installed, my warranty will not cover that. That being said, if my motor blows, and I have a cat-back exhaust, it might be a tricky situation. I know it probably wouldn't be caused by a cat-back exhaust, but I can see a dealer trying to play that card and get themselves out of repairing it under warranty.

Well there are laws in place where they MUST prove that the cat back caused the motor blowing up, they will deny you at first but then tell them you know the law and are getting a lawyer.

The exhaust won't do it, a deffective motor will. I believe I may have had a deffective tranny so don't worry, your truck should be fine. I haven't heard of anyone blowing a motor with minor mods. That was just a hypothetical.

good to know, like i said earlier thats all im planning to do to this truck performance wise. i am very happy with the way it drives and how well it tows my boat so im sure its going to tow my new 16ft cargo trailer just fine. the only reason i changed the exhaust is because its a powerfull truck and i wanted it to sound the part...

Yeah that was just a hypothetical example. I don't think in all the years I've been into cars and trucks, that I've ever heard of an exhaust causing any kind of damage.
