Oil filter-don't buy fram
I don't remember who makes WIX but they are made in South Korea. Champion makes Mobil 1 and a lot of OEM filters. If you call customer service on a Mobil 1 filter it goes straight through to Champion.

Say what you will about Fram oil filters but I recently sold an 89 Dodge Ramcharger with 300,000 miles and all is used since day one was Fram filters. The car burned a quart of oil every 1500 miles, just like it did from brand new.
If you can find it, Baldwin Filters (also sold as Hastings) are a good product. They weight about double that of a Fram, and have a spring loaded drain back valve. The local Fleet Pride will stock them, the B34 replaces the Mopar 5281090.
I use k&n oil filters and swear by them. after 3000 miles my oil comes out with a little lucidity still left in it. and man can you feel the difference in the weight of the k&n filter and something like a fram or wix filter. granted the k&n holds more oil, but even after letting the oil drain from them you can tell just how much more crap the k&n filter filters out of your oil. on weekends i work in a shop as an oil and tire tech. i have seen first hand the difference running a high performance filter such as a k&n vs. the other guys. they are definately worth the10.99 i pay for them at autozone. another benifit of the k&n is the increased flow. you get much better flow using high performance filters. to me 7 or 8 extra dollars at an oil change to ensure my vehicles internals are well lubricated at all times is worth it. plus i like to drive hard. which is why i pop for the k&n and pour in full synthetic every 3000 miles.
I have heard the same info about oil filters from many different web sites. The Frams were rated at or near the bottom in every test I have read. I normally use K&N filters on all of my vehicles. Sometimes I can't find the K&N for my wifes Miata so I will use the Purolator Pure One. I change the trucks oil about 2x per year due to low mileage (6-8000 per year) and the Miata normally gets 3 per year.
i have heard the same thing about fram, been around dirt modifieds for a long time aways used modil 1 be suprised how clean the inside of the motor was when time for freshin up,that sold me on modil 1[align=left]
