New leveling kit for 06-07 Ram 1500 4x4???
Found this info on another dodge forum.( www.dodgetalk.com )No one on this site seemed to have much experience with leveling their 06-07 1500 4x4s. I heard a lot of discouraging talk about the Top Gun Custom leveling kits. But I was a little confused about what I was reading. It sounded like the 06 kit was different than the one they are using now. It sounded more like a doughnut model instead of a spacer like the new ReadyLift. Does anyone know what I am talking about? I guess the old kit really caused some serious vibration. Also, I found a nother kit with a rear block and shocks. It's being sold by Rough Country as a kit, but I think they are using the Top Gun spacer with it. Let me know what you think? Does anyone have any experience with this type leveling kit? http://www.roughcountry.com/dodge_4wd_leveling.asp
I just orderd a rough country leveling kit for my 2007 1500 4x4.
I've read many many good reviews on it. came out to $63.21 with tax and shipping. Shipping cost me more since Im in Canada.

I bought and installed the pro comp leveling kit, it looks like that "donut" style. I've only had it for about a week now and today when I was driving on the interstate, the truck was shaking more than i thought it should. Now im wondering if I should of put a different style leveling kit on, anyone have a recommendations as far as installing a new kit and returning the pro comp or how to correct the shaking?

No suspension lift, just the leveling kit with four new shocks.

I don't know what to tell you then. I'm also in the market for a kit, but they all seem to be the donut style. I think the ones from Rough Country got really good reviews, but they look to be the donut style too.

I've tried looking into this a little closer and the only thing i could come up with is pro comp states that the model leveling kit that I got, is not recommended for the off-road package. How do I find out if my truck came with the off-road package? Before I debadged the truck, on the rear it said 4x4 off road, but is that considered the off road package, any insight would be appreciated. I guess Im going to have to contact the guy I bought all my stuff from, hopefully he'll be helpful in correcting this problem, if there is one.
Hey Erock! Your megacab front suspension is a solid axle more like the 2500s. Not IFS like the quad and standard cab 1500s. I'm suprised to hear you are having the same vibration problem a lot of 06-07 quadcab guys are having[:@]. Did it do this before the leveling kit was put on? If not, is probably is the kit you installed. Check out www.koreperformance.com if you haven't already done so. I'm waiting for them to finish their testing on the kit for my 07 quadcab, however, they already have a nice leveling kit and recon kit that includes new coils and bilstien shocks. I remember someone saying the recon kit was around $1200. They say it has an awesome ride and Kore seems to have a really good rep. Their suspension is built specifically for your model truck. Good luck fixing your problem.
