Default Exhaust muffler question

Hey everyone, fortunately for myself, I get to ask what I want for my Bday. I really want to hear my 02' 1500 4.7L's engine and exhaust. I was looking around the forum and I thought I might ask for some advice. I have a 12" sub in my truck and I love listening to music when I drive, I want an EXHAUST MUFFLER that won't take away from interior quietness yet sounds great. When I bought my truck, it came with a silverline exhaust. basically it's tubing from the muffler back to tips. so my truck looks like it has exhaust but it doesn't. I'm just trying to replace the muffler.PLEASE give me some advice! what would be good for my truck? what size tubing? all that good stuff. Any help would be VERY appreciated. Thanks!!!!

My 07 4.7l comes with stock3" exhaust tubing and that's generally what you want to go for with an aftermarket exhaust unless you have single in/duals out then you want 3" to muffler and 2.5 out to each tip. I'll be going in a week to have a Flowmaster 50 series delta flow installed. If you want to control your interior resonance, but want huge sound, stick with the delta flow in either the 40 or 50 series depending on how much roar you want. 40 series is the loudest.

I have the Flowmaster 40 series catback dual out back exhaust on my 04 1500 4.7L. I have been very pleased with the exterior and interior sound. When I turn up the radio I cant hear the exhaust, but when the radio is off, it still has a low rumble. The 50 series is a little smoother, but if you want that raw dual exhaust sound, go with the 40 series. I think I paid about 350 for the whole system and install.

Thanks bigtime for the assist. I think the delta flow 50 series would be the best possible pick!
