Default Good Price on Mega Cab

I am wanting to take advantage of the 0% for 72 months financing and am wondering what a good price on a 2006 2500 MegaCab SLTCTD 4x4 is. Currently I am being quoted 43,000 but I know that is high. What do you folks think is a good deal? I am thinking 36,000. But maybe I am just dreaming.

go for 33,000 because they should be able to drop their original price around 10gs. you gotta bargain with them b/c they have a grip of money and well, youre limited, no? i know i am! lol. you gotta say it in a serious way... "33,000." they say they cant, you gotta start holding your ground. make yourself look like you dont want the truck at the same time. theyll play the game to a certain price. hope that helps.

It depends on what rebates are kicking around. I would say 36k is pushing it a little bit. Dealers should always be able to give you invoice price (there is built in profit to the invoice, it's not what dealers actually pay for the vehicle) plus any rebates beyond that (those come from dodge and cost them nothing).

So saying 10k off the sticker might be pushing it if there are no rebates. If there is 0% financing available plus rebates (right now I think it's 3k) then you have yerself a steal sir. Go to kbb.com and price out the truck to invoice and say that's what you want, plus rebates, plus 0% financing.

We just got our 07 4x bighorn qc (sticker was $37540) for $24k and some change. There is a dealership in Jackson MI called Extreme Dodge that sells these things CHEEP!! And they'll deliver anywhere in the US. They guy you want to ask for is Neal Campbell. Good luck! Tell him Brian sent you.

Well, even with rebates floating around, you should be getting 10g's off. Every car we bought, we "stole" so to speak. We got them all off for 10g's. the new 07 QC HEMI was 38,995... we got it for 28,995 + TTL. hey, when you offer 36K say this... "this 36k includes Tax Title and License."

by the way... i stopped at the dealer today. i met this dude who bought a HEMI back in 05... he said that the dealer dropped him down 10g's when he bought the truck. look, there are ALWAYS rebates floating around. they just want to sell you earlier when prices are up... do the 33k and when they mention, well, its extra for this, say "throw it into the 33k. 33k is a lot of money! so if im gonna pay that, i want that too."

btw, your gonna have a sick *** truck if you get it

so what im saying is... drop it 10g's. thats how you get what you want for less and the dealer gets the sale for more money for itself too. my freinds pops has a STEALERship. i would never recommend to buy from him. his pops doesnt take $ off FOR ANYTHING AT ALL! oh, a chip of paint came off? take off $10. **** like that is what he does. when you are all done with the purchasing part, when you go to the lady who does your paperwork and stuff, get the LoJack system. it is well worth it! i got mine done today on my truck. plkease do get it even if it is that extra 1000. it will go into your payments.

Go here, http://www.edmunds.com/, and price up your truck. You want topay as close to invoice cost as possible from the dealer. Even at invoice, they are making money. Once you get your price from them, subtract out any rebate. It keeps the price in check when you subtract the rebate last. Don’t be afraid to say “I don’t need the truck that bad” and don’t whimper when you say it! They do NOT want you to walk out that front door. Good luck. Red

I was just thinking about that too. lol. That's something you do wanna say.

Make it looklike you have a lot more options too. Dont make it seem that you want the truck. And ALWAYS... ALWAYS LOOK FOR ANY FLAW ON THE TRUCK AND BRING IT UP!!!
