What tire is best
OK, now here is the million dollar question. Going to be buying som new tires for my 06 2500 4 X 4 QC, I do not do a bunch of four wheeling but do get off road very now and then. Looking for a tire that will go down the highway without too much added noise and will wok well in the snow, not too worried about mud.
I narrowed it down to two tires. One being the 315/70-17 Goodyear Wranglr AT Extreme an the other being a 315/70-17 BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO.
I have always been a fan of Goodyear tires, andthe Goodyears will cost me about $200.00 less for the set, from my research it is a pretty hard call to pay $200.00 more for th et of BFG's, are they that much better of a tire?
Any input would be appreciated.

I have run about 5-6 sets of the BFG A/Ts on my previous trucks. Ican't thing of a bad thing to sayabout them. They work well on the road and I've never had a problem in the dirt, sand, mud, or snow. They clean very well IMO. They also lasted a looong time when I took care of them (rotation, proper inflation, etc..) I don't know anything about the Goodyear AT Extremes though, I've never run them... I do know alot of people running Goodyear MTRs that swear by them for offroad purposes. Goodyear definitely makes some good tires. You have a tough choice. Here's a comparison on tirerack.com. It's lacking data on the Goodyear's, but there is a little info.http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compar...p;startIndex=0
Goodyear makes some good tires and some very bad tires...
I would go with the BFG AT's forthose requirements. But stay away from the BFG "Rugged Trail" P.O.S. tires. Pure crap, cheap junk.
