Default Canadian pricing on a 2007?

What's the best deal people are getting for a 2007 1500 SLTQC 4x4 in Canada? The sticker prices range from $40,000 to $45,000. I don't know what a good deal is?

I'm not sure what a "good" deal is either, but here's what I got and I'm pretty happy with it:
- MSRP $44947.35
- price paid $39156.55
- 0% financing for 48mo through Chrysler Financial

The price paid included all of the rebates and incentives that were available to me in BC. I took delivery March 3, 2007. If they are a factory certified dealer, they must offer to sell you a service contract as part of their franchise agreement. The price varies dramatically, so if you decide to get it make sure that they take about $300 off their initial quote. They will also try to sell you paint protection and undercoating. The truck comes with pain sealant and undercoating from the factory, so I didn't get any of those either. Lastly, make sure that you bring your own calculator with you to the Business Office. If you're financing they will try and inflate the price by asking what monthly payments you're comfortable with. Before you sign, add up all of the monthly payments and your downpayment to be sure that you're still getting the same deal you got from the salesman. In BC, the total cost of purchase, including all of the taxes, levies and fees must be clearly displayed on the contract. Not sure about other provinces, but you want to keep this number as close as possible to the deal you and the salesman talked about. Personally, the first draft of my purchase agreement had an extra $672 that magically appeared and had to be taken out before I would sign.

As always, your mileage may vary.

I would factery order your truck, if you have three months to wait. This way your buying your own truck with every thing you want and you have the advantage of chossing betwean the lower intrest rate's at the time of your factery order, or when you pick up the truck.

Thiers no advantage to buying a car/truck in anothier province, frieght is the same price and if you buy in Alberta to escape provincal taxs, you will have to pay tax to register your truck in your home province.

Dealers want to sell you what they think you want and thier not lossing out on a factery order unless you forfit your deposit, but if your considering a factery order, this is good leverage to use on a truck that you might like that's all ready on thier lot, the dealer dose not want a sale three months from now, they want it now.

Also, go to Dodge.ca and price ot your truck on line, the quotes are MSRP and this gives you an advantage in deciding your bottom line before the dealer tries to empty you out.

And thier is no such thing as rebates, or 0%, or free gas cards, or Mopar acess packages, it sounds good on papper, but it is all built into the price, and don't buy life insurance, or disability insurance from the delaer, or life time oil changes, protection packages, ect.

And don't expect your sales person to know any thing pertaining to axle ratio's, tow rattings and expect them to lie, lie lie, thier to make you feel good abought buying thier pretty pick up...

And be careful of dealer adminstrative fee's, lien registration fee's, Tire tax ( alberta ) air cond tax, ect, Thease are sunk into your your agreed upon price to inflate the price of your Ram.

And don't ever lease, but that's anothier Rant of mine for anothier time....
