all depends on which kit. ive read and seen em for anywhere between 150-300. then labor varries depending on where you live. but also as far as the front end being lower. if the front end rear are the same height and u hit a corner, your more prone to rolling or not sticking as well than if ur front end was lower.

I found the Top Gun Customz leveling kit for my '07 Ram for $100 CDN, which is $86 US. I was quoted $300 for the install from a local custom truck shop. I'm sure that's about $250 US but you could probably get it done cheaper at your local suspension or tire shop.

So the $373 installed your dad was quoted is not a bad deal.

Bought my keys off ebay for $75. Installed them myself, new Bilstein shocks up front for about $120, alignment for $30. $225 total.

dirtydodge if you are refering to torsion bar keys, the 07s do not have torsion bars is what i have been told. so the just crankin the torsion bars up 2 inches like you could do on previous models will not work on 07s. not sure about the 06s but i assume they are the same way.

You are correct. We have to get donut style spacers installed, which is atleast a few hours labor, then it's recommended to install new shocks, and finally, and alignment.

have you heard of/do you know of anybody that is running the donut style spacers without new shocks? if new shocks are required he definantly wont get the kit, but if the stock shocks work alright then he problly will. i seem to recall a thread about a guy who put a spacer on the front of his 06 or 07 dodge and said that even though they recommended new shocks he was running the stock ones with no problems.

I don't know anyone with an '07 running them at all to tell you the truth. I did however speak with the shop about them, and they said they have installed A LOT of them on the 07's and they have been working great according to their customers. The ones they sell are from RevTek, and they advertise on their site that you CAN use the stock shocks. I however WILL be adding aftermarket shocks when I install mine. The reason being...If you think about it, you're changing the travel of your stock shocks. I've heard of a few guys bottoming out, not all the time, but once in a while. In my opinion, it's better to get a different size shock to make up for that spacer you've installed in there.

mdram, got the alignment in a small town in Wyoming called Worland, where my parents live. Here in Casper, it was gonna be about 40, but I did the work at my old man's shop. And I didn't know that about the 06-07's. Tragic. I like the torsion setup. Had to do donuts on my old Jeep, but only paid a case of Bud Light to the local Big O shop for the labor.

so if the spacer is going on there mainly for looks, as my dad wont be taking it anywhere offroad except the deer lease, which doesnt even require a 4x4 to get through there he just wanted one to be safe, he wont be doing any serious offroading or hardly any offroading period, in your opinion do you think it would be ok to stay with the stock shocks?
