Default 4.7 vs 5.7

I rented a 06 QC 4.7 to take to Toronto this up coming week. This is the first time I have driven a QC and a 4.7.

I have to say, compared to the RC 5.7, the QC 4.7 is very sluggish. For the up front money and very little gas money the 5.7 is a mustif you want to enjoy the truck.

I disagree. I have driven both. I have a 4.7 QC and I enjoy my truck very much.

I have no problem with my 4.7...especially when I'm rolling at 65 and getting 23-24mpg.......bet you can't do that with a 5.7

I agree with 94rt10ohio, i drove a friends 4.7L the other day and it felt like acomplete dog compared to my hemi. It was less responsive, way less power, i just didnt like it at all after having my hemi.

Not 24, but I can get 22. Plus the added benefit of having the power when I need it.

i have an 04 4.7 and my dad has an 07 hemi and i can say im very happy with my truck but i will not buy anything but a hemi for my next truck. my dads truck accelerates so much easier than my truck and i havent evenromped on his truck since its still breaking in. for the daily driving and occasional hauling a load of wood, metal or carryin an atv in my bed, it does fine, but i will definantly be buying a hemi for my next truck its just no comparison.

I think the milage is showing in my truck. I can pull about 19-20 on the hiway, which I can't complain about given 139k.

I used to own a Hemi, and now I have a 4.7L because I didn't need the Hemi for what I do. Although the Hemi does have more power, I disagree with your statement. I enjoy my 4.7L very much! You don't need a Hemi to enjoy these trucks..

I could not agree more, I drove both, I was, and still am leary of the MDS...that's why I didn't get the HEMI, and the mileage in town kinda threw me off as well,
If I was going to do it all again I'd go Mega Cab 4X4 CTD!
