Ya know what else Isaw since this was the first time taking off the intake since buying her in Nov...there's no fricken IAC or TPS!! I onlynoticed becausethe throttle blade wasn't flush with the bore...so I was like WTF [:@]. Then the lack of sensors dawned on me...that's pretty smart of DCX to use the throttle blade to control idle. Anyway...

Yea I hear ya...but it seems to be the cheapest out there unless you buy the ebay ones. Inever liked the ebay ones withh the metal tubing and neon colors...looks kinda ricey. When someone posted about the airaid I finally found what I was lookin for. If you live near a Summit you can get it for $110, the closest one to me in is Nevada [:@].
Check this out, it's Truflows version and retails for $270 and you get a foam filter....to get the airaid version with a filter is $150

Yup that's the one I got, on their site it says it's for 03-06's but I called Summit and they said it's for 07's too...I also checked Airaids site and they also have it for 03-07's. It should work on 08's too...I don't see why not. The build quality seems really good and everything fits ice and snug...you can see in the pics how thick those urethane couplers are.
Yea the filter setup is still the way it was...the kit came with some extra hardware for different years that I didn't use. Looks like it's for the PCV/breather. The stock air box looks like it breathes pretty good, it's wide open inside and has that little cold air horn thingy. It might not breathe as good as a cone filter but i'm sure it keeps the heat out better.
