Talking Possible Mod On The Horizon

Alright fellas, the ol lady couldnt resist doing something else for my birfday. She knows how bad I want one of these nitro r/c trucks, but none in the $125ish price range, which is bout what I have to play with.

So, of course, I get to thinking about the truck. Thats not enough to do anything with the stereo. I could almost do the Foxbox, but Id have to sell mine first, to make up the extra $$. SO, next thing I could think of was the exhaust. The 40series sounds great by itself, but its lonely. Someone posted this a while back http://www.autoanything.com/exhausts...79975&kc=AFFCJ I figure I could get my exhaust buddy to put'er in for $100. What ya'll think? Worth it? Im sure there wont be any issues as far as backpressure and whatnot, since the cats will still be there.

Any other mods for that price range come to mind? I wanna order that thing tonight, haha. But, thought Id get some other opinions first. Maybe new shocks to compliment the level thats going on? IDK what the hell I wanna do. If I could get away with the OEM ones for a while (which I know I can), Id love to make the truck sound better. A few more ponies wouldnt be too bad either

Anyways, half-drunk rant over, thanks for reading....

Hell, I just read the reviews for that y-pipe. Everyone was talking about how they used it to dual their exhaust. I'm running a si/so FM, and its gonna have to stay like that for now. But, I can still use this for my specific application, right......?

I'm not completely following what you want to do. What I think am hearing is you want to use the "Y" coming off the dual cats going to your Single inlet FM muffler. This is good but I think maybe going to a FM muffler with dual inlet and maybe dual outlets would really open it up. Or use the "Y" and use a single inlet and dual outlet. This is the setup I'm using on my Hemi with a FM 50.

Well, if I understand correct, the factory setup is 2 manifolds - ypipe- single pipe-si/so muffler - single tailpipe

The FM is just a direct replacement, and I can't run a si/do muffler, no duals for me, can't drop that coin right now. SO, I wanna do something like this: 2 manifolds - new ypipe - single pipe - same si/so muffler - same single tailpipe. I wish I knew how to use that art/paint stuff, pictures make it so much easier. Did I make any sense of it Red, or just make myself sound retarded, haha....?

Of course, going to a si/do muffler would open it up more, but I figure this new ypipe setup has to be better than whats under there right now...

No brother, I understand. Basically using what you got with the addition of the "Y" pipe. I'll be back end of March to have that beer.

Got a photobucket account Red? If not, make up one. Upload your pics from the pc to the site, then they will give ya image links, like [img]*********[img/] <copy those links and paste'm in your post.

Yeah, it was late/early when I was still up last night. Still carrying on though! Nothing like a little captain & coke nightcap

Thanks, I do have a site to dump pics. I'll give it a try. The Captain and I are great friends. Only one place in the area that sells it though.
