Default slid off the road yesterday

Yep slid off the road in 4x4 yesterday in my suck years, puttn coopers on when i get off duty. any way the only damage after i cliped a phone pole was a small scuff in the front right bumber, and well my rear view mirror is done. the mirror bend back as it should but the front plastic piece shatterd in a billion pieces and the hard hit broke the glass. and of course i can buy just the plastic pieces and a lense. I calle dthe dealer and hes like, you can buy the lense and the whole unit and pry off the plastic piece................(yeah ok buddy) the whole unit was 200 and he recommended a dealer install. again.......not so much. any way i called 2 junk yards 1 was 100 for them to pull it another place was 90 if i took it. but what is wierd is i went on jcwhitney and it was like 78.99 for a new one??? i couldnt believe it every thing matched up heated, power, ect.. just couldnt believe how cheap so i was leary it might not be the right one. Any one here happen to have one layn around they would sell. thanks guys

Installing the Coopers onto my truck, was by far well worth the money. The factory badyears are complete junk. I get better traction in 2wd using the Coopers, than I ever did in 4wd before.

Glad to hear you are ok and the truck only sustained minimal damege.

Coopers are a good choice for any 2WD and a 4x4 that sees primarily road use. It's heavily siped so it will be good on wet pavement, thin hard packed snow and for ice, it's probably as good as a tire can be short of studs or chains.

You'd be amazed how many parts you can buy new for as cheap or cheaper than these junk yards want for parts anymore. Junk yards are big business, like anything else these days...

I couldn't imagine how stiff the steering is with those things. Stock steering is likely to be overworked??

When you say mirror broke, you mean rearview? Your post is pretty chopped up and hard to decipher your meaning???
You say rearview mirror...That is the mirror that in located inside the cab that is glued to the front windhield. Your Sideview mirrors are located on the outside of the truck on each door. if one of those is what you broke, you can find them in pairs all day long cheap on craigslist or ebay for $100 a pair since most guys get rid of those to install those over the top super wide towing mirrors that half never even need.
