Default Finally Installed My Air Horns

I finally got a chance to install my air horns last weekend, I bought the compressor a few months back I just never had the time to install it. I used a Viair 280C compressor with a 2 gallon tank and some $50 eBay horns. The way I did it I didn't have to drill any holes in my truck and it worked out perfectly. I decided to put everything right behind the front bumper because I figured that would be the best place because it wouldn't be inside the cab and yet it will still be out of the elements for the most part. I'm not really satisfied with the pitch of the horns but for $50 with an electric air valve they'll do for now. Next up is a quick connect fitting and some air hose so I can air up tires if I need and air bags down the road.

Preliminary Assembly:

Air Lines Re-routed and Wired Up 100% Functional

Momentary Switch at the base of the drivers seat, a bit of a reach but it fit like a glove:

The compressor and tank with pressure switch is a Viair 20005 which I got for $170 on eBay from HornBlasters. The kit is cheap but the only down side is separating the compressor from the tank like I did voided the warranty.

so wiring up the compressor, straight to the power source or did you use a relay? and two gallons, how much is that good for blast wise? like a good three second blast or more?

That's cool. I love air horns, especially when combined w/ a Q.
