[VIDEO] DIY PowerWire
DirtyDog asked me to make a DIY vid for the Power Wire and since I had a little free time this weekend, I did it.
Enjoy.

weed, where does the power wire go ? and what is its function ? i have seen it posted on here before but havent figured out it purpose.??? o and by the way great video if i just knew what i was applying towards !!! LOL
The P/W goes inline on ONE of the wires on the IAT sensor. That sensor is located on the intake tube. Cut only ONE wire and strip both ends, then crimp one insulated male spade on one end and one insulated female on the other end. This way you can plug in the P/W but if you ever want to take if off for whatever reason you can simply plug the two wired back together and into themselves.
The P/W with a 4.7k ohm resistor will trick the PCM into thinking the incoming air temps are approx 22* less than what the sensor actually reads.
This normally would make the PCM think the air is cooler and therefore add more fuel. But because the PCM monitors the O2 sensors when at normal driving (closed loop) it overrides the P/W and does not add fuel
But at WOT the PCM does not monitors the O2s (open loop) and therefore the P/W does allow the addition of fuel and gives slight more power.

are there any dyno/track results to back this mod up as far as actually making more power at WOT?
you claim it adds more fuel at WOT, which would change the AFR making it richer, and running rich does NOT always equal more power. you must have enough air (o2) in the cylinder to burn all of the fuel, so to much fuel results in the excess fuel exiting with the exhaust and not making more power. if the stock tune has the 4.7 running slightly lean at WOT it makes sense this would work.
