Only had it about 2 weeks, I'm about 3/4 of the way into my second tank. Trip A shows 13.37MPG since my last fill, Trip B shows 13.7 since I got it. First tank was a lot more highway.

40000kms 25K
VIC says average 19mpg
Calculated to 21mpg
Mods = k&n drop in
Notes : Was getting 15-16 average but recently had the torque convertor replaced and rear diff rebuild . Mileage went uphill immediately , I credit to TC . Average hwy speed is 70mph and I do feather the gas to maximized the mileage .
Overall impression of the truck .......... JUNK . I have bought Dodge for over 10 years , this is the last .
-torque convertor replaced
-rear diff rebuilt
-rear shocks blew out (no offroad use)
-rear sliding window motor replaced
-wind noise in windshield , to be replaced under warranty
-ticky noise in engine
-rust forming on seams on the box between cab (parked for the winter)
-AC now blows warm air (to be fixed next time at the dealer)
-leak in sunroof
Anyone got a match ?

Well now that I've owned my truck for a few months now, I figured I could give the fuel economy that I've been getting...
Year: 2010
Model: Ram Crew Cab SLT Big Horn 4x4
Engine: 5.7L (Why would I go with anything else?)
Highway percent: 40% (Varies with work)
City percent: 60% (Varies with work)
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Octane: 87 or 89
Hand or computer calc: Computer
Miles on truck: 77717
MPG: City: 12 - 15, Hwy: 16.5 - 19
Mods: She's bone stock as of today
When I first bought this truck, I was a little disappointed as I was getting around 8 - 10 in the city and could never get it higher than 16 MPGs overall. But now that I've learnt to "drive" it properly - using the MDS - and no longer having to use winter grade fuel, I've noticed quite the difference! Very happy with my truck (especially considering my '04 Bonneville GXP didn't do much better in the MPG department). The only other thing I can say is that I live right in DT Minneapolis so I do a lot of city driving, but in terms of percentage, it varies a lot because of my job.

Update to my previous post, I've put about 2700 miles/4400km on it now and I'm working through my 8th tank of gas. I started marking down my mileage in a spreadsheet.
1st tank: Filled with 87 by the dealer from a Husky. Drove about 660KM/410 miles, I topped it up along the way. Burned about 102 litres. Average of about 15.45L/100KM or 15.21 MPG. Almost all highway.
2nd tank: 87 from Safeway, drove 580KM/360 miles, 16.21L/100KM or 14.5 MPG. About 50/50 city and highway. Burned about 94 litres.
3rd tank: 87 from Safeway, drove 521KM/324 miles, 17.66L/100KM or 13.31 MPG. Mostly city, bit of highway. Burned about 92 litres.
4th tank: 89 from Safeway, drove 546KM/340 miles, 13.74L/100KM or 17.1 MPG. Mostly highway. Burned about 75 litres.
5th tank: 89 from Safeway, drove 501KM/311 miles, 14.97L/100KM or 15.7 MPG. About 60/40 highway and city. Burned about 75 litres.
6th tank: 91 from Petro-Can, drove 478KM/297 miles, 16.53L/100KM or 14.22 MPG. About 50/50 highway and city. Burned about 79 litres.
7th tank: 89 from Safeway, drove 557KM/346 miles, 12.93L/100KM or 18.17MPG. Probably about 60/40 city and highway. Burned about 72 litres.
The trip B meter hasnt been reset since I got the truck, and over 4400KM/2700 miles, it's showing about 14.7L/100KM or 16 MPG average.
It seems to me that the 91 is a total waste of money, I got worse mileage with that than anything else and didn't do anything unusual with that tank. The 89 seems to be a decent investment, my mileage improved quite a bit with it over 87. I've got 87 in it now, and at least 230KM of that tank is going to be highway, so we'll see how it goes. Maybe Petro-can gas is just crap, the 87 I'm on now came from there too so we'll see.
