Debadging is all about personal preference and how you like the truck to look. Personally I like it to be clean and simple, which is why I will be debadging today if possible.
I don't think that all the tailgates are the same. I have seen some that look as if the large ram in the center is recessed, and other ones that appear to be a surface mount.

This is a old post! I did mine this weekend, will post pics in about a week. Although I did not touch the gate, just the sides.
So I was sitting at a light today and there was this rice burner in front of me and the whole car was debadged and it looked good but then i noticed he still had the dealership license plate advertisement on the license plate. And I thought how stupid is this guy.
