Does anybody have 1/4 mile times on new rams
As I was reading through I was just waiting for someone to chime in about our intakes being plastic....
There are lots of things you can do that will gain you .1 other than a bag of ice - or you could just start with a faster car to begin with. That sounds a whole lot easier. Trucks are made for towing, hauling and everyday driving.

I feel pretty much the same way. After all, the title of this thread is "does anybody have 1/4 mile times on new rams". To me, that would at least TEND to imply that people would be talking about, well, 1/4 mile times on new rams. Imagine that!
To answer the question about shifting, you can't shift at any higher rpm than the truck will do by itself. The gain comes from getting access to 2nd prime when you shift manually. According to my tach, it shifts at 5600 rpm at wide open throttle. Doing it manually, you need to command the shift at about 5400 or 5450 to give it time to react. If you wait too late it hits the rev limiter until the shift happens, which slows you down.
