v8440, when you made your best runs with the ram, how were the conditions? elevation, air temp, etc?

As I was reading through I was just waiting for someone to chime in about our intakes being plastic....

There are lots of things you can do that will gain you .1 other than a bag of ice - or you could just start with a faster car to begin with. That sounds a whole lot easier. Trucks are made for towing, hauling and everyday driving.

About 65 degrees, moderate humidity (I don't know what it was, it just wasn't humid as hell or dry as a popcorn fart), 150 or 175 ft elevation.

Yes, the owners of lightnings and srt-10's will be delighted to hear that. Meanwhile, I'll keep trying to get my stock truck to run at least .008 seconds quicker. The reason is simple-it's what I want to do. I have fun doing that. Yes, cars are generally quicker. If I had not previously known that, my 9 second mustang, 10 second duster, or 12 second buick regal t-type would have made me abundantly aware of the fact.

I feel pretty much the same way. After all, the title of this thread is "does anybody have 1/4 mile times on new rams". To me, that would at least TEND to imply that people would be talking about, well, 1/4 mile times on new rams. Imagine that!

If you wait too late it hits the rev limiter until the shift happens, which slows you down.
Got it, thanks for the explanation. Due to the blizzard we are experiencing it is something I will have to wait to try.....but I will.
