Default Mods - Smittybilt, Hella 500s, Tint and Ventvisors

Well I have had my new ram for about a week and I have already gotten a few mods done to make it look a little different than stock. So far I have completed Tint, Ventvisors, Smittybilt Light Bar, 2 Hella 500s and 2 Hella 500FFs . Coming soon, Magnaflow 18”, Husky Liners, roof rack or “bed rack” for the kayaks. (Thule Xsporter, or something similar), install new head unit, build custom boxes for my pioneer premier shallow mount 8” subs, alarm. Here are some pics.

Tint and Ventvisors - Tint is 20% all around.

Thanks guys. Desert Dog, thanks for answering the questions that I had about the bar and other things...it was a big help. That bar is well made and the price was right too. Bayou, I agree with the rims and tires, but that will unfortunately have to wait at least for a little while. I was spoiled by my 01 Ram 1500, with the 4x4 Offroad Package....Stock rims with that setup were better looking and 8 inches wide if I remember correctly. I had Procomp All Terrain 305's on there stock with NO rubbing whatsoever. My '97 had BFG all terrain 285's on the stock rims and they only rubbed the control arm at full turn (barely). I wonder if 285's would fit on these stock rims with no lift? Anyhow, the girlfriend just ordered me an early Christmas present consisting of the Husky Weatherbeaters in black and I just ordered myself a magnaflow 18" muffler and will hopefully have it welded on this week. The only thing I don't like about this truck is how low the front end sits. I put Bilstein 5100's set on 1.75" of lift on the front of my 06 Tacoma and an add a leaf in the back and I think I was spoiled by how much higher the truck "looked" than current Dodge...especially in the front end. I really don't want to lift this one though, so I guess I'll just have to suck it up...it is a GREAT truck though and I am really enjoying the forum!

They work well for me because I can still use the lights on the street (55w) as well as offroad. When I first mounted them, I had one that was a little out of line and people were flashing their high beams at me, but I fixed the alignment and I have had no issues since then. I typically kick off the outside set when a car is oncoming or leave the outside set off in the city. It is interesting Oosik how slow people in the left lane will move out of the way in front of me on the highway if I have all four on! I drove my GF's camry and had her drive my truck so I could make sure I wasn't blinding people with them. It just looks a little intimidating at night having a "wall of light" on the front bumper coming up behind you. I'm pleased with them.

How far does this stick out in front of the bumper? I am trying to find out if the bar will clear and I can still park in the garage with the bar on the truck. Right now I have about 6" in front of the truck before the wall.

Thanks.

Just walked outside an measured the straight portion form the chrome part of my bumper to the glass portion of my middle Hellas is right at 6" w/o the Hella covers on. Still has to be one of the best mods that I have done.
