Thumbs up

If you don't mind spending some more $$$ then the decision is easy....Nathan Airchime K5LA. All the other brands are cheap imitations of actual train horns. While some of them sound pretty good, none are as loud or sound as good as an Airchime. They are very expensive but you can search around and find a used one that isn't too much more than the higher quality knockoffs.
If your burning hundreds on a horn you might as well get the real thing for a few more hundred because you probably don't value money much anyways LOL.

I researched this train horn stuff last year and almost got a set but got kinda paranoid about the possiblity of something bad happening. These things can cause accidents and distract other drivers. I couldn't justify spending a grand just because I want to make loud annoying noises. It was tempting though!

Good luck!

that's the one that i got installed about 3 months ago. its super loud. took about 5 hours to install. compressor and tank in the bed, and the 4 horns mounted in different locations in the engine bay. this will scare the **** out of you even when your expecting it. just spend the extra $30 for the 5 gallon tank, then you can blast the horn longer. the top model that they sell for $1300 is as loud as the 540, it is only a deeper sound. trust me you wont be disappointed. if you were in new jersey i would let you see and hear the setup.

i guess you get what you pay for. I was thinking about spending $300 but never thought about the tank and compressor. i have a small enough bed as is, so compromising that might be a deal breaker. dang
