Anyone attach a Bike mount to your bed?

I know of three people who have had that thule blow out of their truck with bikes attached.

Wow. I've got a hard time believing that a bike could blow out of the bed of my truck even if it wasn't attached to anything.

I use the RempRack for my family. www.RempRack.com. it's a bit different -- and quite expensive!

I use eather the hitch mount Yakima with a short extension so I can drop the tailgate after the ride or I mount it in the middle of the bed against the front and strap it in like a Motorcycle. The hitch mount is the easiest by far and more universal for other vehicle use as well.

I use Fork mounts mounted to a piece of 2x4 that i sprayed with rubberizer. 2 bikes will fit with the tailgate up/ no problem. Your 29er will fit for sure because i ride a 29er as well... Stumpjumper FSR

I use the Fork Mount attached to a 2x4 as well. cheap, easy, fits the same in the front of the bed or the back of the bed based on what else you are carrying, and can be used as fire wood in a pinch. Not very secure though, you will need to chain the bikes to the bed tie downs if you are worried.

Oh yeah. I forgot to mention that i use the heaviest duty bike lock cable i could find. Expensive but worth it to me

I use a Dakine tailgate pad and hang our DH bikes over the tailgate
