Default Anyone attach a Bike mount to your bed?

Sorry if it's been posted, but I did a search and nothing came up.

I'm currently shopping for a new Ram, and one of my hobbies is mountain biking. Anyone else share this interest? How do you transport your bike? I have fork mounts attached to my current Nissan Titan, but it doesn't look like Ram w/ Rambox has the rails up next to the cab.

Cant you get a trailer hitch rack for your bike? I think all the truck come with a hitch and even if you don't have the optional hitch the regular hitch should handle bikes.

I am considering one like this so I can still haul my kayaks underneath in the bed. I have a nice receiver rack I need to sell. Just seems wrong to carry a bike on the receiver hitch with all that bed space. I currently use straps and tie two bikes in the bed using the loops on the bed walls. http://www.orsracksdirect.com/2009-d...ike-racks.html

This is what I have in my current Nissan Titan. It's not really clear in the picture, but there is a C-Channel that runs all the way around the top of the bed on it. The Ram doesn't look like it has this. I see a lot of people mount them by screwing them through the bed. I'd like to avoid this if possible.

The 2x4 attachment is a possibility.

I use a mount like the one pictures above mounted to a 2 x 4 that fits into the bed liner. I've actually got one board with 2 and one with one so I can haul 3 easily. I'll try to get some pics.

I screwed three fork mounts to a pice of synthetic lumber along with the mounts for my hi-lift jack then mounted the boar in the back. I can now carry all three of my bikes at once.

@whiteboy... I bet it will fi with the front wheel off... 29s are only about an inch longer than 26s with that front wheel off...
