Last Friday I bought a 2010 Ram 1500. There are a few things different about it than most of the other 2010s on the lot. It's a Hemi, but doesn't have the dual exhaust, has a different Hemi badge, and has a real spare tire rather than the full size but limited use spare. It was built in September 2009. Is this because it's an early production model, a special order thing, or something else?

 

What trim did you buy? We can't really tell you anything for sure without knowing what you actually bought. I'm going to guess you bought an ST, SLT, or maybe a TRX since those are the only one's that come with a regular spare tire and not the full-size restricted use.

 

The badging can be explained by the early build date. Pretty sure you've got the 09's badges and not the 10's.

As for the spare, I think Eric is correct.

I never noticed the different badges between 09 and 10 trucks...I'm going to have to look at my buddies truck when we get to work now to see the difference, lol.
