Smile Took Resonators off...VIDEOs INSIDE!

I did a muffler swap with a 40 series flowmaster, after having it on for a few months I decided to take the HUGE resonators off. Here are the videos:

Before Taking off resonators:

After Taking resonators off:

After taking resonators off from inside the cab:

I love the way it sounds with the resonators off. It is considerably louder and has a deeper throatier sound. At highway speeds with the cruise set the drone is actually not as bad as with the resonators on. Let me know what you all think.

I purchased a Mufflex Delete kit, and am now toying with the idea of replacing the factory Resonators with Aeroturbine Resonators

Your truck sounds good!

WOW!! It does make a big difference! Sounds way better!! I have been thinking about taking mine off. Did you leave the heat shields on? How much did the muffler shop charge you? Great job with the videos! Thanks!

The heat shields are still on. The muffler shop charged me $60 bucks to take them off and replace it with stainless tubing. The shop here is great cuz its first come first served, no appointments. I was in and out of there in about 25minutes.

i've been thinking of taking mine off but i've got a AT3030 and there is other guys that say with the AT3030 the exhaust is just to loud. my problem right now is the MDS kicking in and giving me a real bad 4 cyl. drone.

Before I put on my SS Magnaflow Cat Back Exhaust I had the 24" Magnaflow w/ resonators took them off and installed new tips and it was louder and throatier on start up but didn't notice anymore drone. I also drive 30miles to work one way every morning. With the Cat Back system there is no resonators just straight piping back coming off a 22" muffler and still no drone.

I'm sure someone will chime in that has an 18"
