Had something less than you, a trailer pop off the hitch. The trailer tongue went up in the air as it came down it scratch the tailgate paint off. Was very fortunate that it didn't do more than that.

 

That sucks I feel your pain! I had someone at work hit my door with a 10ft tall chain link gate 5 days after I got the truck.

 

Thats why I will not let my wife drive my truck LOL.

 

Yeah this winter I drove up to the mailboxes to check the mail and the truck slid sideways on a icy rut and slammed into the mailboxes. I was in a rut so when I pulled away from the mailboxes, they scratched all the way down the side of the truck. It wasn't pretty. It's all fixed now though. $4000 later. Only had to pay $500 thanks to insurance...lol!
