Torque Program for smart phones
I have an app on my android phone called "torque". With the app you need to purchase a Bluetooth OBD2 reader. When you plug it into your truck and connect bluetooth to your phone, you can see realtime information on your phone with the app. It's pretty cool. You see things like the current hp needed to move the vehicle, current torque to move the vehicle, engine % load, intake manifold air temp, catalyst temp, fuel pressure, Fuel trim for each bank and sensor, O2 sensor volts, timing advance, intake manifold vacuum/boost, throttle body position, GPS speed vs. speedometer reading, etc.
The reaction time is a little slow, it's not instant like your gauge cluster. It does have data logging capability. It also uses GPS and accelerometers in the phone to calculate 0-60, 1/4mile times, etc.
It also has fault code reading. It will tell you what your fault code is, and explain what it means. I've plugged the bluetooth device in my Mustang and the Explorer and it reads everything. It's a pretty cool diagnostic tool.

i have it and hooked up to my 08 5.7l 3.92 gears and it calculated around 355hp with my superchips set to 91 octane. I tried 0-60 and 1/4 mile times but it didnt read it idk why but it didnt. I ran a few HP test from 0-50 then 25-75 and so on just to see if different speeds gave me different readings but they all fell around 350hp
From a stop i revd it up and spun the tires down the road and it gave me a reading around 760HP
.....saved that one....

total for the app and my reader i payed 40 dollars which isnt so bad when a single gauge can read that amount.
I took a trip up to the lake this weekend and didnt think about hooking it up and seeing what the gauges are doing during a trip. but ill be running up again this coming weekend and ill have to see how it goes...
