Default Tow Dolly Question

We have a 2009 1500 Ram Laramie Hemi with 355 gears. Need to pick up my daughter in Houston, Tx and bring her back home. Going to drive down from South Dakota and rent a Uhaul tow dolly to bring her Ford Focus ZX3 back home. Any issues with this scenario? Looks to be about 1100 miles. After the tow dolly is attached to the Ram and the car is loaded and secured is it as simple as pulling a trailer and just pushing the tow/haul button and hitting the road? Could this same thing be done with our Dodge Nitro, or is that pushing the window?

Thanks-
Arlo

The pickup will handle it fine - just don't know about the Nitro.

Just make sure that the focus will ride on a u-haul dolly. Some low to the ground cars will not clear the loading ramps. I had to specially modify my Tow Master dolly to load a Kia Spectra 5.

Your truck won't notice the weight at all. I regularly pull a lifted 94 Jeep on my tow dolly and pulled my kids spectra back and forth to montana several times.
