I am considering putting on a 2.5 lift on my 2009 Ram 4x4 QC 4.6 V8 and am wondering if 2.5 inches is going to make that mich difference in its stance appearence? I see Rams all over town and they all look taller than mine. My Ram is basic, no Hemi, no crew cab or fancy package but I would like it to look tougher and taller without being out of control taller that it will no longer fit in my garage. Any suggestions, anyone make the same mod and have any input?
2.5 inch lift should let you clear a 35 with no problems. Depending on your OE tire that is a total of 3.5-4.5 inches of lift, which is very noticeable.

Check mine out. I would recommend the SST lift from Ready Lift. Gives you 2.5" up front, and 1.5" out back I believe. I installed the levelling kit only from them, and from the side the "bump" on the hood looked higher than the box. So I ordered some rear spacers from Top Gun Customz. After everything, I have the same setup as the SST from Ready Lift. I have 35s on there, with absolutely no rubbing at all.
Here is my 2009 with 2.5-inch front/1.5 inch rear leveling Daystar system with 35s (LT285/65R20) on 20x8.5 Eagle wheels before I went to a full 6-inch suspension lift:
Thanks everyone for the comments, it definetly looks like it will make a difference in the truck. One other question, this might be a dumb one but I can get larger tires without having to get new rims right? The diameter of the tire is just larger and there is essentially more rubber between the rim and the tread.
Yes, you may run into the problem that your rims are not wide enough for the tire you want though... most beefy tire require at least an 17x8.5 rim on a Ram
