Bakflip F1
I've had mine on for awhile, now.
This thing fits and operates EXACTLY as they say it does! Which is to say, flawlessly. The F1 is really a NICE looking cover!
The parts and material are all first class.
Water tightness? We've had the wettest spring in over 100 years in the midwest - hardly a day goes by, without some form of precipitation. I've been out in some real frog chokers lately; and, the only moisture I ever see, is inside the clear drain tubes - on the way out!
My bed is absolutely bone dry - not a drip anywhere, that I can find.
No rattles or vibration, no flapping in the breeze!
The sections close, and latch, with a reassurring "thunk."
As much as I thought I wanted a hard cover, for the looks and security - I like this much better.
I did, however, make a slight modification - I removed the logo decal from the top of the lid - and, put one on the inside of each section, upper left. That way, I've got a nice clean installation(I dislike advertising); and, everyone can see who made it - when it is exhibiting it's flexibility.
Security, quality, weather tightness, flexibility, and good looks (it looks like it belongs on a truck), ease of use ------ what more could you ask for !!
Julian (if you are reading this) ---- you guys did a good job!
The bad news is that the guy who was going to buy my Extange Trifecta, changed his mind - after seeing my new cover, he's gonna order a Bakflip!
No, I do not have stock in the company; and, Julian did not pay me to say this. I just like to pass along something that more than met my expectations.
p.s. I e-mailed them to inquire about getting a few logo decals to install inside - and they sent them in a very timely manner. (Thanks Oscar)!

Went down to 4 Wheel Parts two weeks ago and ordered the F1 along with the Bakbox. Got them yesterday and came home from work this morning and installed them both in about an hour, so I will add that not only is it a quality product, it's the easiest thing I have EVER installed on a vehicle, I like that there was no drilling holes either, all you need is a 14mm socket or wrench!
Had mine a couple years now and it still works/seals like new. Only small issue has been that the 2 flat head bolts that hold the cover on are rusting - not a huge suprise in MN and can be fixed with a little POR-15 the next time I take the cover off.

Might be a good candidate for Plasti-Dip.....
Plasti -Dip sucks for steel, no real bond with the metal and you really need to have sandblasted the part to have any prayer that it won't corrode between the steel and the dip.

Next option for me would be to call Bakflip Customer Service ------- ask for 4, so you still have replacements, and look at Rust-O-Leum while new.....
POR15 will last longer - it bonds with the rust, whole frame on my jeep is coated with it.
I don't think that Bak should have to replace them, pretty much any steel bolt is going to rust in a MN winter. Not sure what you think rustoleum is going to help with a new bolt.

I've never used POR15, but have had great luck with Rustoleum on steel parts around swimming pool stuff (pumps, steel tanks, tables, chairs, etc). Doesn't get much more corrosive than that. And, we're not that far away in Northern Illinois. I'd be surprised to find anyone who uses more salt (and other corrosive stuff) in the winter, than the Chicago area........... LOL
I know that it keeps rust away MUCH longer if it goes on new parts, as an extra protective coat.
