Default Getting a 2011

Mom decided she wants a 2011 1500 crew cab 4x4. Havent decided if its going to be the 4.7L or the 5.7L yet. We want leather so it probabaly will be the 5.7L big horn maybe. Anyone have a crew cab 4x4 with the 4.7L? How is it? She also wants the adjustable pedals so i think we gotta have leather for that too? Really glad i talked her into a truck and away from ford! NOw we will have 3 dodges in the family.

Build you own, best way to compare trim levels and available options. I do not think leather is available in the Horn, you need to go up to a Sport or Laramie.

Get the Hemi, the 4.7 is not going to really save you anything.

Hemi = more power and better mpg on average.

Get the Hemi, other than a slightly higher initial cost, the gas mileage will be equal if not better than the 4.7 and resale will be higher...

Sounds good! Thanks guys Looked at the 4x4 Dakota as well(the 2011) and kinda hated it big time. Lame interior even though it was fully loaded, horn didn't from the get go, engine sounded like it had a knock(was the v6..) Btw looking at the 1500, is it me or is it a total bitch to change the oil and the plugs??

oil change is cake ... looks like a reach up to filter but its not really that bad and drain plug in bottom of pan.

plugs are kind of a pain, but once you get in there and get your assortment of extensions laid out it really wasnt that bad. tricky behind the booster but possible, just have to put in and remove one stubby extension at a time.

Durango is sweet! I might swap the RAM for one.
