My dealer knows I have one. It doesn't void any warranty unless they can prove that the tuner caused the warranty issue, which is unlikely unless you tune it for 93 octane and run 87 in it and detonate it and melt the pistons.

I will add my comments... I had a K&N drop in from the first week I bought my truck, which seemed to help. I then swiched it out for a K&N CAI (first ever CAI I bought). It will be my last. Did not do anything over the drop in other than make more noise under the hood.

Ditto, I told my dealer I have a programmer and I use it for the tow mode but I did flash it back to stock. He could not have looked more disinterested and just wanted to finish the paperwork.

So i grabbed a k&n air filter, dropped it in and could instantly feel the sluggishness. Pulled it out and realized it was pretty soaked in oil right out of the box. I remember my oil change guy telling me that he recommended them but after cleaning them don't soak them in the oil, just a light mist is all it needs. No directions or anything but Ive decided to leave it on my work bench to dry out a little. Is this normal, do you need to let these dry a bit before using them?

You need to reset the computer so it will adapt to the added airflow. Remove the PCM fuse and turn the key on for about 30sec, then turn it off and reinstall the fuse. The truck will then go thru a relearning curve of the adaptive memory.

So, I was wondering something the other day. Does a CAI have any effect in conjunction with something else? For example, there is a guy that offers throttle body porting, there are headers available (if I remember right on that one) and you can of course get the cat back systems. It would be nice if a CAI alone would have any effect, its kind of one of the easiest upgrades to do. Has anyone tried any other type of intakes on the new rams? Open top system, cowl induction or anything else someone can think of.
