Powered truck steps for my 2 door truck?
Hello. I am asking about this if you all have experiance with the powered steps for the truck that fold back up into the vehicle.
I have a customer that has them and he says they are awesome because it doesn't reduce the breakover point and ground clearance to the frame because they fold back up into the truck.
I was wondering if they make these for my truck as per my signature, and about how much should I expect to pay for them?
Also, is it something I can install myself?
P.S, I ended up buying a cheap crap $25, 8000lb hand winch from harbor freight just for the time being until I can save up enough money for the 12,000lb powered winch that I want to buy, and have used it once when I was BURIED in mud up to my frame when NO ONE could come get me out!! OMG This THING SAVED MY LIFE! (I bought this + a $10, 6' websling) WOW! IT WORKED VERY WELL and I used it to get my truck out. My truck had about 1000lbs worth of wood in the bed + a full tank of gas too... I calculated it to weigh in at just about 8300 lbs loaded like that!

The reason I'm posting this is because my wife has a hard time getting in and out of my truck. My problem is I want to help her out but I don't want to reduce my breakover point.
If they don't make powered ones, would they make manual folding ones???? Or would they make ones that I can just bold on with like 3 bolts so that they are easy to take off when i go off-roading at the sand dunes and whatnot?
EDIT: I found these: http://www.truckchamp.com/nerf-bars/...nd/truck-champ - Maybe I can buy just one for the wife and leave my side alone?? That may look goofy though lol

I took a quick look at 4 wheel parts website and they only list for extended and crew cabs. My father-in-law got a set and they are very nice. You may be able to mod a set to fit the regular cab I'm not sure they are pricey...$1150 or so. Hope this helps.

the stock mopar steps take less than 5 mins to take off/put on. i have set of oem mopars for a regular cab (2 door) if your interested. i would sell them cheap...they were taken off the day i bought my truck 2 years ago been sitting in my garage ever since..
I'm sending you a PM too.
Thanks
Buy a set of AMPs for another model Ram. You can take the end caps off and trim em with a sawzall. They will look factory, just trim to your measurements and move the brackets.
