What about trailer brake control?
I bought a 2011 Dodge Ram SLT Quad Cab. In the Brouchure Form no. 74-383-2103 /10/10 (322M) 3rd page from the back it shows a line called "TRAILER BRAKE CONTROL GROUP- Includes Trailer Brake Control, Instrument Cluster with Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) and speed control (AHE). This is shown to be optional on the ST models and has no other limitations on other models.
I bought the SLT as I pull a 16 foot trailer with electric brakes. When I bought the truck I asked the salesman where the trailer brake controller was and he said that it was not included, but a an in dash controller could be installed on the track by plugging it in.
After much ado I find that the only model that is set up for the brake controller(in dash integrated) is the Big Horn.
I currently have a Mopar In Dash controller that I cannot install, and an aftermarket controller on order that will plug into the 4 pin socket.
Maybe someone from Chrysler or who has resolved this problem can help me. The dealer ran me around until I stopped going back.

you buy the brake controller for like $200, then take it to the dealership to have it installed. it installs no problem, its just if you want it hooked up to your evic screen on your dash they need to hook their computer up to it.
Not quite so simple. The dealer cannot hook it to the EVIC screen if the wiring is not there. My truck does not have the wiring included. I do hope that Dodge can get it handled by telling people they left out the wiring on some models that were supposed to have it and offer a solution. Will post more when I get the aftermarket controller installed.
This thread was very informative. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/4th-gen...ake+controller
I have the Laramie and it was included. I thought it came if you ordered the tow package.

I thought it came on all the models shown in the brouchure, but it did not. Some apparently have the wiring and some don't, and that is what the dealer told me. I keep asking for wiring diagrams, and if the EVIC wiring can be added by nobody's talking at Chrysler.
