Having Problems ordering/buying a new Dodge Ram Express !!
Hello,
I configured the 2012 Ram Express I wanted on the Dodge Ram website.
Printed out a copy of my wish list, took the day off work and went to a few local dealers with money in hand. the Object- have a truck ordered or purchased off the lot by the end of the day.
I wanted the ST popular equipment group (cloth seats, cruise control)
and i wanted the
Power and Remote entry group (power locks, windows ..ect)
The dealer was only able to click one of my choices, then the other would get 'greyed' out. So he claims you can only get the cheap vinyl interior with power locks and windows, OR the better cloth interior with manual doors and locks. You cant have both.
He did a search for already built inventory, and all the ram express DO HAVE both the packages on them. He was puzzled by this.
Unfortunantly they had alot of other stuff i didnt need, or didnt have the few things i did want. (I need sliding rear window, and No 4x4)
So I said fine, order me one with a vinyl interior and the power locks, windows. I can live without cloth seats.
He went to place the order and it said their are 'RESTRICTIONS' on ordering a 2012 express. He claimed he could not order me anything at this time!
WHAT GIVES? anyone know? I have cash in hand and cant order a 2012 !?? this is nuts

I went on the dodge ram website, got the ph# to a dodge ram customer specialist and called.
He determined there are bugs in their ordering software.
He phoned the dealer.
Dealership then phoned me and wants me to come back. They will write the order on paper and enter it once dodge fixes their software bugs.
looks like i will get the truck at the price quoted with the options I want.
ALL IS WELL
