EVIC gas mileage inaccurate
#21
I've never seen my Evic below 14 liters per 100 miles, which equates to about 20mpg Canadian. Around town it sits at 17 liters per 100 miles which is about 16 mpg.
Either my Evic is way off or you guys are embelishing your results. I will have to calculate it by hand next time I fill up.
This truck is hard on gas, its a good thing I don't do a lot of driving.

I buy my gas over there actually my wife does while she does her couponing since in the US they allow stacking of coupons and various other things...she saves 20 bucks filling the tank over there and takes a friend who shares of pays the tunnel toll. Then all the savings from the couponing it's really good. Hell she picks up my synthetic oil and filters on sale always, for our truck, and my wife/son's Avenger, and my daughters Caliber.
We get so hosed over here, even the price of cars, do one of those build your own on the .com sites and then do one on the .ca site you will be surprised.

I don't even pay attention to the EVIC anymore, I don't think it's ever been right. I can be cruising at 70 getting 15.5mpg, reset and it drops to 13.5 and stays there until I turnoff/start the truck (which i don't do going down the highway lol).
I relocated last summer and my commute is now more set. 26 miles each way, truck never moves while i'm at work. I will get 15 in the morning, 14 on the way home, reseting before I leave each time. Terrain is pretty much the same in each direction and this includes days when the temp is pretty much the same at 0500 hrs and again at 1700 hrs. And I never hot foot it, not anymore anyway. If I do, I'll be lucky to get 11 or 12!

If I use cruise I can get 24-25mpg (cnd) easy and have seen 27 with it not using cruise, driving around 100 kph.
