Default Partial Debadge complete

I really didn't like the big chrome RAM 1500 letters on the doors or the Laramie tag on the tailgate so I finally got them taken off. Took alot of WD-40 to get all the residue off but heating them up first seemed to help.

Followed it up with a good coat of wax and it looks great. Debating on removing the "Hemi" tag as well. What do you think?

Looks good man. Getting ready to remove the RAM 1500 off of mine as well. I kind of like the Hemi tags myself but it's up to you what you want to do. I'll be shaving the SLT and 4x4 logos off mine as well.

Goo Gone seems to work pretty well for getting rid of the residue.

I tried goo gone and it didn't work for ****. After removing 14 letters I can tell you this is what worked for me.

-Fishing line to get behind the letters and saw through the tape.
-Hair dryer to heat up the sticky tape and peel it off with your finger nails.
-WD-40 on the residue. Let it sit and then scrub with some elbow greese. (Repeat several times)!!

It took me a couple of hours to get them all off and then wax the doors but it turned out great.

Goo Gone should be renamed to goo stay.

I removed everything when I did mine. I like the cleaner look plus I'm just not big on chrome except for whats on my wheels. It all come down to whether you like the badge or not. One of my buddies I work with relocated his hemi badge to the hood because he thought it looked better up there instead of the fender. He put it about 1-2" from the trailing edge of the hood centered where it angles up on the raised center.

Crazy. I used Goo Gone to remove the badging on my Dakota and to remove the stealership sticker on my Ram. Seems to work pretty decent to me at least. Perhaps you got a bad bottle or some old stuff or something. I used fishing line on my dakota as well. I didn't even use a hair dryer or heat gun. Just sawed the emblems off. Probably would of been easier with a hair dryer though.

On another note this made me feel ambitious so I debadged mine today as well. Tried Goo Gone as well as WD40 and it was taking forever so I picked up a 3M Stripe Off Wheel from NAPA. AMAZING! So much faster getting the gunk off and it comes off clean and doesn't scratch the paint.

What the heck is that? Would have been nice to know there was something like that I could have bought.

Look it up in google. Absolutely amazing. Actually type in 3m stripe off wheel in youtube and you can see it in action.
