Tonneau: Bakflip (F1 or G2) vs extang solid fold
Hey guys, newbie here. Just bought a new 2011 1500 Crew cab without the rambox and I'm looking to add a tonneau cover. I've done a lot of research on this site and the web and have narrowed my choices to the Bakflip (F1 or G2) or the extang solid fold. Figured I'd ask the experts to help me the rest of the way. Thanks

I had an Extange Tri Fold, and have to assume the fit would be similar....... I sold my Tri Fold at a loss, and bought a BakFlip F-1.
I couldn't be happier with my final choice. The Bakflip works as designed, fits like a glove, and looks great!
To clarify - the Extange covered the hole in the bed, but it didn't match the lines of the truck - always looked cobbled on! MHO

Extang has GREAT customer service!
I had my Extang RT for a couple years, and the velcro began to fail on one side, I had lost the receipt, but they still honored the warranty, They sent out a Brand new cover within a week, Free of Charge! Very happy customer here!
But, I do not know anything about the 2 models you are asking about, sorry.

Had the F1 for 22 months and the FRP panels faded and the fiberglass started to show a little, contacted BAK and they sent me a new one ASAP, the new ones are also a little lighter than the original F1s, very happy, I have the original still if any one wants to buy it deeply discounted (for work vehicle or to fix it with new glass/paint).
