Wink

I know stock gears are 3.55. The 3.92 are an option, at least that is what my dodge salesman friend says. he had an 11' Express with 3.92 as an option listed on the sticker on his lot. I checked out this Express, it was a flame red 4+4. It was a cool looking truck. It may be a little stripped, but show me another manufacturer for $30,000 gives you a hemi, 20' wheels, dual exhaust and other stuff. There aint'.

4x4 vs 4x2 depends on the person. I've been an offroader for many years and have never felt the need for 4wd in a street vehicle.

Imho 4x2 are pointless. I too am in Canada, and live in Northern Alberta... We throw 4x4 on and and the truck handles extremely well in deep snow and ice. The 1500 ST was the same thing when I owned it.

4x4 should be standard, 2x4 an option for downgrade imnsho.

I had a 2x4 S15 when I was younger, and came close to killing myself by driving in weather that snuck up on me on the highway. 4x4 and good tires, your golden.

with u being up in for mac...im sure you hardly ever take it off during the winter...I know here just north of calgary it seems to be by time I get to the time of pulling er out of 4 auto and back in 2wd, seems to dump another foot of snow...Biggest things I think here in alberta are the drifts, they are really what you need 4wd for.

Im surprised that you can even find 2wd drive trucks up there...cause we can hardly get them here. When I picked up my 2011 here a couple months back, I asked the salesman is it 4wd? The dealer said we only have 2 trucks that are not 4x4 here, so yup! There is not much of a demand here for them, would not be surprised if it was the same up there!

I have a reg cab and love it. It is simple to wash, clean, wax, and park, see out of. I would never own a crew cab. Way too big. Also why 4x4 ? I live in Kansas and we get some bad snow storms and ice. Within 3 hours they have the roads clear. To me, its not worth 5,000 dollars for a 4x4 that you might use 15 hrs out of the year. Take that 5 grand and go buy a Roth.

Cool

I would go with a 4+4, the trade value will be alot better. My dodge salesman friend said that in cold weather areas that is a wise choice. A regular cab is good if you are single like me but if you have kids, wife etc. you may need the extra room and get a crew cab etc. Still like those express trucks, I see many come through with power options and cruise. Not bad if you ask me. I did comparisons this morning between the express and F-150. $30,000 for an express is a good deal. The same price for a F-150, I will not bother to even tell what the blue oval will give you.

You can find them, if you look. There's gotta be 4 or 5 SRT10 rams running around town, and I'm pretty sure those are 2x4 only. People got more money than brains.
