Default Bummer: MDS droan still there in 2012, and worse

My neighbor bought a new 2012 1500, despite my woes with the MDS ( http://www.dodgeramhell.com/ ). He was good for 2800 miles, and I was happy as hell for him. No droan shutter vibrations. He was over last night distraught reporting he had the MDS shutter! With as many complaints as there has been, suprised they didnt change anything.

One thing i can tell dodge or chrysler, i bought my very last vehicle from them... i`m done with them.
Its really too bad that they think they can afford to loose customers by building such garbage.
But when they have no more sales and customers, they`ll be done too.

I disabled it on my 2009 Sport as well. Best mod I've on the truck. Sure, I loose 1MPG on the highway, but overall it was well worth it. The MDS just sounded like junk, and it was made worse by the aftermarket exhaust. Removing the resonators out back helped some, but not much. If it had just kicked in at highway speeds that would have been great, but crusing through downtown at 35 and it's burbling like it's getting ready to die was just too much. It was the one thing that when I took delivery of the truck I knew had to go ASAP.

I used a Superchips tuner to disable mine. It not only kills the MDS, but also comes with the bonus perk of improving the shift points to make the truck feel smoother under normal acceleration and puts a bite in the bark under WOT.

Warhorse

Putting the supertuner in my hands might be a mistake ;^) Is there a step by step tutorial/Stickey out there somewhere to walk a person thru doing this? My MDS droan wasnt really bad/present until 3000 miles in. Had it been there when I test drove I wouldnt have purchased it. Was my whole point with Dodge. And it was within that 60 days and they are TOTALLY lying about that 60-Day Handshake commercial about them being willing to take it back within first 60 days.

If you eliminate the GOV/EPA, you`ll eliminate all the MPG mandates & regulations.
Then they wont be putting MDS types of garbage in these vehicles that we buy.

But then, you'll achieve a worse MPG vehicle and pay more for gas! Not everyone is into disabling mds. Some people like it because it actually does save mpg's on flat stretches of road below 70mph.
I do think it should be user choice to flip a switch to activate/deactivate mds and not mandatory!
