4th Gen with 3.7L Your experiences...
Since the 2013 models will offer a 3.6 Pentastar with an 8 speed tranny, your truck will immediately become very undesirable as a used vehicle for resale purposes.

That's another good point. It's not like we're telling you what to do but speaking from experience I and others on here are trying to save you money and frustration. I may be wrong but I believe you can cancel your order, though I don't know if you put down a deposit or if it would be refundable to you. My 3.7L 2006 Dakota had an MSRP of a bit over $20,000. I bought it for $16,000 and it still depreciated when I left the lot and I bought it brand new off the dealer lot in February 2007. I had to wait four years to finally get rid of the damned thing. No power, no torque, and fuel economy that was only a single MPG difference on the highway over the 4.7L. It was a good engine for the Jeep Liberty but not a very good truck engine. Correct me if I am wrong but you might be getting a 4 Speed Transmission with the 3.7L which isn't exactly what I would be calling efficient by today's standards, a 4spd is straight out of the 80's. Even the 5 Speed I have gets harped on by most reviewers and critics alike. You should be able to get an Express for a little over 20k.
Thanks, I actually appreciate your input... However my truck was ordered 6 weeks ago and will be in my parking lot within 2 weeks. I had already gave a deposit so, no way back for sure... At the time I bought it, my dealer didn't offer me to wait for the Penastar, I could then have consider it...
As for resale value, it doesn't affect me too much as I will probably keep this truck for 10 years (did it with my current Caravan) so at that point it will be used as a trade in for whatever it will be worth.
Another point here in Quebec, is that any vehicule with 4.0 engine and Higher will pay an extra fee for there yearly registration (plates)...
Finally... Less chance of having speed tickets with that V6 over a HEMI

Welcome to Canada !!!
I guess in a way it's like our gas guzzler tax they put on performance engines that get poor gas mileage by EPA standards.
