Default NEWB exhaust question.....

So I've been doing some researching on muffler options and have a question after some reading.. I want a Magnaflow 14 or 18, still on the fence. Now I know I can get just replace my stock with a Magnaflow muffler (PN12198). But what is the difference if any in a Mufflex 14? Hope I didn't confuse anyone.............

the mufflex will bolt straight in without having to add any extra pipe. They have it all welded and ready to install. just buying a normal magnaflow muffler will require pipes being added to fit where the stock muffler was.

Default Sound difference from 14-18 Magna..........

So I've been reading that after a bit that Magnaflows will get louder after they "break in". I was leaning towards the 14" but was thinking it may be too loud after awhile. So I was wondering if anyone with the 18" could chime in on the sound difference after they're had it for a while..........

I started with an 18 and once it broke in it was plenty loud for me. You could definitely tell I was coming. But the drone got to be too much for me and it was way worse when I pulled our enclosed trailer around so I ended up switching to a DB exhaust by Corsa and have been loving that ever since. Unless you are looking for obnoxious loud then I would go with the 18 and wait for it to break-in.

I've got the 18 and it's loud enough for me.

I have the 18'' also. Its loud enough for me just crusing around town but towing the drone is a little too much. I kind of wish I went with the 24''.

The DB exhaust by Corsa is the best of both worlds. It is just as loud as the magnaflow 18" was on my truck and it gives zero drone in the cab. It is well worth the money to keep the sound but lose the drone.

I thought the 14" magnaflow was a bit loud probably would have been good with the 18, even the 24 but used to it now.
I looked at corsa but it is chambered, like Slowmaster and not free flow like Magnaflow or Borla.
