The upshifts are not directly controlled by the shifter. It is not a true Autostick like some vehicles have. The shifter controls the highest gear allowed but the tranny still shifts as needed up to that gear. Down shifting is immediate since you changed the top gear allowed.

 

Mine works good and at a lot fater then 65 mph.
